ImHipHop Tech: New Upgraded YouTube Mobile

YouTube is now available for everyone’s cell phones. It launched a brand new mobile portal called YouTube Mobile.

Previously you had to be a Verizon user, plus pay some monthly premium, but now it’s technically free for everybody, though it eats up a lot of data, so those without beefy plans will have to really think about it.

There are a couple of requirements for using the mobile version of the site:

1) you need a device that supports RTSP streaming

2) your carrier has to allow streaming videos. Aside for the huge content that you can view, YouTube mobile now allows you to log into your account, where you can share videos, rate them and make comments.

You can upload videos from your phone as well and they become available within moments.

The site now offers localized versions available for a few countries. In addition, there is a beta version of a YouTube downloadable Java application available in English only.
