Incarcerated rapper Turk, best known as an member of Cash Money’s Hot Boys, learned some devastating news recently and is asking his fans for support.
According to KeepItTrill.com, the rapper’s younger brother, Ronald Smith, was gunned down in New Orleans during the early morning hours of Monday (February 22).
Police reportedly found Smith’s lifeless body behind a daiquiri shop at around 3:00 a.m. He had suffered several gunshot wounds.
While details surrounding the murder were unknown at press time, authorities have reportedly apprehended a suspect — 19-year-old Travis Dennis, who has admitted to being the shooter.
Turk sent out a message to media this week, urging fans to help his family financially, so they can give Ronald Smith a proper burial
“My little brother and I were as close as brothers can be and it hurts me to lose him at such a young age, but as a man I must be strong,” the rapper said. “I have been in jail now for over six yrs and there’s not much I can do. My mother is mourning over the loss of her youngest child and over the fact that there is no insurance or funds to arrange the proper burial.
“I am asking for you to get the word out and to also help financially in any way you can. Any donations can be sent to me at the Shelby County Jail by Western Union and for those who know me personally, funds can be given directly to my mother Ms. Pamela Smith,” Turk continued.
